Closed Loop Collaborative Filtering

Dynamic, proactive Internet filtering with CLCF.

Closed Loop Collaborative Filtering (CLCF) is ContentKeeper's patented, globally-meshed closed circuit system designed to globally collect, analyze, categorize, edit and distribute site URLs worldwide.

An innovative and dynamic approach to filtering

Traditional filtering vendors employ teams of staff to manage new Internet sites.

But with growth of new URLs in the millions every day, it is impossible to keep up using this process.

Through CLCF, ContentKeeper’s entire base of millions of users globally contribute to the process automatically as they go about their surfing activities, discovering new sites. This is an innovative approach to filtering and, combined with strict quality control, makes ContentKeeper Web the leading technology.

Globally meshed process

Method

  • ContentKeeper units call the ContentKeeper data centre hourly to receive control list updates of new URLs.
  • New, locally-discovered URLs are encoded, encrypted, compressed and sent to the Datacentre for anonymous submission to our AI, analysis and categorization engines.
  • Sites are compared against categories, classified, and included in Control list updates.
  • Updates are sent out to every ContentKeeper unit in the field each hour.

Quality and relevance

Quality control and flexibility are in-built into CLCF. With CLCF, you get:

  • Extensive & relevant database covering many millions of classified Internet sites (billions of pages) with extensive coverage worldwide.
  • Hourly database updates, fully automated using ContentKeeper’s TrickleFeed technology
  • Centralized Data Centre backend analysis and categorization of Internet sites
  • Regular live site checking and Database compaction (removal of dead/moved sites) to avoid database size bloat and maintain relevance and quality
  • Manual re-classification, analysis and quality control teams
  • Ability to instantly block, unblock and re-classify any site locally
